For 60 years we’ve walked the path of life together.
Sometimes the way was smooth
and the flowers bright.
But a lot of times
the way was steep and the rock hard to climb.
But you held my hand
and I held yours.
From boy and girl, to man and woman;
from young lovers to best friends.
You held my hand and I held yours.
For 60 years in a thousand ways we tried
to express our love and show we cared.
We grew to love the good things about each other
and tolerate the “not so good.”
and through it all
you held my hand and I held yours.
What does the future hold?
It’s not for us to know. Be it flowers or be it rocks,
if you hold my hand, I’ll hold yours.

Love this Margie. Your parents are such special people. I adored your mom. Such a Proverbs woman. She invested her life into people, children that changed people for the good eternally. Haven’t been to the central coast for several years now, but when we last went and visited, I was so happy to see her. My husband got to meet her and your dad and we got to tour the ranch and we’ve loved it.
